Royal Canadian Mounted Police: Regular police services will continue across the country, but services such as administrative support, media relations, web updates and access to RCMP buildings may be disrupted. The Public Service Commission of Canada: Second language evaluation services will be reduced, delayed or unavailable. Services that may be partially or fully disrupted include phone-assisted direct deposit, publications from the Government of Canada, and security screening. Public Services and Procurement Canada: Essential services, such as direct deposit, pension payments (socio-economic payments), linguistic services and public notices, will be maintained. Public Safety Canada’s Government Operations Centre: Most services will continue uninterrupted though there may be delays in the rollout of funding for community projects and other programs administered by Public Safety Canada. Library and Archives Canada: There could be delays in ordering archival and published material, requesting copies, making access-to-information requests, making licensing or copyright requests and for services to publishers. The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada said some processes, such as hearings and submitting documents, will continue, though there may be delays. Services offered by outside organizations will still be available, and online applications, accounts and emergency services will be maintained. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada: Expect delays for most services, including processing applications, in-person appointments and citizenship ceremonies, passport services and contacting the department. There may be delays to non-essential services such as processing requests or response times to telephone and email inquiries. Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada: The department is expected to maintain all essential services that could affect safety, security and health. Services at missions abroad, document authentication services, import and export permits, the CanExport program and international assistance programming may be partially or fully impacted. Global Affairs Canada: The department says it will maintain essential services such as travel advisories, the EduCanada program and international scholarships program. Services that may be partially or fully disrupted include Canadian Coast Guard lighthouses, wrecked vessels, and licensing and funding programs by Fisheries and Oceans. Delivery of passports will be limited to clients experiencing humanitarian or emergency situations. Offices will remain open, but days and hours of operation might vary.
